Considering not 5 months ago, when they released the new Launcher, they commented that the launcher itself "was designed to be multibox friendly," I call bull.

Hell bushcc,
The Desktop App was designed to be multibox friendly with WoW as long as you're launching them all on the same system. To launch multiple versions of WoW first open the Desktop App, then navigate to the WoW game tab, select whichever account you wish to Play and launch it. Then once in WoW tab back to the Desktop App, switch to the next WoW account you wish to launch in the account drop down selector and then use the Play button to launch it. You'll be multiboxing two accounts on the same machine without much effort at that point, with the option to tab back out and launch others. Hope that clears up some confusion.
They even have a section on launching multiple accounts in the FAQ for the Launcher.
Code:
Launching Multiple World of Warcraft Accounts
Same Computer
1. Launch Battle.net.
2. Launch the World of Warcraft account you want and click Play.
3. Press Alt + Tab to switch to Battle.net.
4. Choose the second World of Warcraft license you want and click Play.
5. Repeat steps 3 and 4 as needed.
Different Computer
1. Launch Battle.net.
2. Launch the World of Warcraft account you want and click Play.
3. Launch Battle.net on the second system. The first system will be logged out of the app, but World of Warcraft will stay logged in.
4. Launch the World of Warcraft account you want to play on the second system.
