Pre-BC content

I was thinking once I get my 5x Shammy team and get lvled up, create a guild and start doing Pre-BC content again. Start at Onyx then head to ZG, then MC, then BWL, AQ40, then Naxx. I don't care if we are lvl 60s or lvl 70s I just enjoyed the game more when thats how things was. Probably can do Onyx, ZG, and AQ20 for the first night and then hit MC the next night, BWL next, AQ40 after that and then spend the rest of the week on Naxx until we have them all on farm and then head to the Outland instances. I think it would alot of fun, what you guys think? If I decided to do this how many of you would like to go? Would like to make the guild mainly multi-boxers but anyone that was interested would be able to join.

I have been thinking about this very thing for quite some time. I thought of making a guild called [list=1] or something similar and doing the old world raids. It dos take a bit of effort though. First thing thats gonna be hard is keeping people entertained enough to learn those instances with fairly worthless gear coming from it. Not only that but getting dedicated crafters and gatherers to make the proper resist gear etc is kinda a pain.

I believe this would be a very useful thing for people though as they could learn how to use different strategies on the boss encounters etc, on top of the nostalgic memories of these places.

Of course I may not be able to attempt this before WoTF comes out, but I have already begun collecting lots of dark iron etc for the fire resist stuff, still not sure what all new patterns would be good for the fire/poison/cold resist gear. Since the older stuff obviously would have lower stats.

PS. I personally have only had experience with Molten Core, Onyxia, first bit of Blackwing Lair, Zul'Gurub, and AQ20. Would like to see AQ40 the rest of BWL and of course Naxx.

My guild on my old server pre-bc killed everything except Kel'Thuzad before BC came out, so I got some experience there.
I would recommend getting lvl 70 resist gear instead of lvl 60 gear if you are lvl 70. For fire you can get 200 resist for 100 badges for example.
Also good is the "of <element> protection" greens at 69-70 etc, where you get good resist and also a fair amount of stamina. If you are planning to do these resist gear heavy instances I suggest to start looking around the AH for such gear. However if you do go in as lvl 70 you can also take into account that you are higher lvl and will resist more. Though you will prolly still need onyxia scale cloaks for BWL.

Well I have cleared everything from MC to Naxx Pre-BC on my old server so I have alot of experience, but when BC came out I moved to a different server and to tell the truth I miss the old content and all the fun that I use to have. My warrior has all the patterns and already farmed items to be able to craft about 10 sets of fire resist gear so thats not a problem, I agree with Hotnutz that the main problem that I see is keeping people entertained, but at least you would get some good xp from all those instances. Even if its just for shitz and giggles I still plan on doing it, so I need some peeps that wanna join in, its going to be about 8 more months before I can start this because of being deployed to Iraq and all but hey I can keep dreaming right.

Haven't figure that one out yet, was hoping to find some multi-boxers that wanted to join up on a specified server doesn't matter Alli or Horde but would like a discussion on the faction.

on the note of resists just an FYI. both myself, my guild and several other people who raided in the old school have done some of this stuff post TBC and the lvl difference makes it laughable. for example people doing naxx (we never able to do it myself) were saying they had no deaths at all and they took ~30 average geared lvl 70s (like kara/badge/S3/T4 types) and most people were resisting all flames/shadows and other AoE. My guild has been running ZG for the turtle spell (which we got a couple weeks ago) and it was laughable, did it easy with 5 peeps and everything but hakkar was a pushover due to resists and mitigation. Onyxias deep breath lol tick-resist-resist-tick and in the clear. keep in mind they were old raid bosses but they are still only lvl 61-63 elites (just like our new raid bosses) If you take groups that can farm kara to places like onyxia, MC, BWL or AQ you will stomp the place as long as people know the strats.

personally I am horde on KT but a ways from having my mb team at this lvl.

I've always wanted to do this stuff. Mostly the completionist in me. Those old patterns make money for some twinks. Farthest I got was ZG on my war. So I never got a chance at those huge raid places (well, I could have tried a raiding guild). But I'm gonna be farming strat scholo soon, for my own amusement. And I already heard of successful 5 man zg's so I will try that too. For me, it's a bit more fun when I'm over the instance's level, anyway. I'd just like the fun of seeing and getting those patterns.
