PVP Multibox group, What are you guys using?

Outside of duel boxing with a booster or Falcon, I've never done 5 accounts in combat.

On paper I can think of a great group configurations for 5. However pulling it off is another matter, for me I think picking the same ship across the board would work better for me. Same range, Same ammo types, Tracking, a lot of micro management would be taken out of the picture doing the same ship across the board.

Which leads me to my question. If you had 5 combat toons. What would you pick?

Battle Cruisers:
5 Drakes sounds appealing, changeable ammo types, nice tank. Dps meh.

5 Harbs, that would be a bit nasty. Little more management but doable.

5 Brutix's would be sick dps, but range issues, alts falling behind from getting webbed. If you ever did get on top of someone, there's no way there going to live through that long! If you fit rail, crap too close can't apply dps, now have to seprate the ships to try to get range. Lot of management either way.

5 Myrms, One of my favor solo PVP ships. I honestly think it would be awful in a configuration of 5. One Battle ship with A smartbomb or two fitted could take out 25 T2 drones quickly, that's going to be expensive. Travel time of the drones is a factor. 1v1 your running towards each other. If 5 myrms land near you, you'll be motivated pretty quick to get the hell outta there!

I'm really interested to hear what you guys suggest and/or doing.

That is a great idea, 5 crows should do the trick orbiting at 20km. Plus the skill time from start to finish would be pretty quick to get in to this. So that's a +2 on your idea right off the bat.

Because I've been gone from game so long, i'm out of date. Hoping you can educate me on this. Over the years I was gone, AF's received a buff and I noticed on the Killboards interceptors loosing to AF's and destoryers I did a double take, not sure exactly what was done and how this is happening. I know Destoryer received the tracking bonus which is why they can actually tear you up now. Not sure why/how AF's are taking out interceptors.

Outside of a long range web what other threats are a cause for concern?

ive done the drakes, harbs and myrms. drakes would have to be the easiest to do. dont have to worry about tracking, just gotta be in range. i used a pretty heavy tanked drake with a nano in the low and 1 tackle mixed between the drakes, ( short points, long points and a lot of webs between 10 toons ) , and destroyed a lot of gate camps.

the myrms would be one of the hardest to do .

mostly the usage of sentry drones and cleaning the field back up makes it a pain in the ass.
harbys arent bad, just gotta use the target and approach / orbit to minimize the transversal and keep your harbys actually hitting things.

i woudlnt recommend brutix. ive been having issues with blasters. not being abel to close the gap before getting imploded by most fleets make them vulnerable to kiting skirmish fleets.

the range of drakes being able to get up to 60km with faction missiles and 40 with t2 furies makes them most flexible.

my 2nd recommendation would be prophecies. stick some neuts or missiles int he highs and any drones , be it light med or heavy, in multiboxing numbers make them extremely deadly.

the reason i recommend battlecruisesr is their durability. they are faster than battleships, and more durable than cruisers.
this allows you to learn to multibox and gain the experience of controling all the toons before you

Orbit at 23+, so you don't get scrammed yourself and become a sitting duck. A well skilled/fit ceptor should be able to scram from 25-30k. Also, having multiples, you should give them different ecm modules. Give a few tracking disruptors, a few senser damps, etc.

I'm personally going to give doing dessies a shot. Sniping Talwars are always fun, and if you die its only 5-10 mil per ship so whatever.

ive been mixing 1 tackle per ship and 1 ecm per ship mix. with 10 ships its been 4 long points 2 short 4 webs for tackle and 3 tracking disruptor 3 multispec ecm 3 sensor damp and a target painter
