I got a friend that works for the Account Administration of Blizzard and he told me that the trigger was from a new security system that they just installed, it is suppose to scan for multiple accounts coming from the same IP and flag those accounts for investigation but it some how auto banned the accounts on accident, oh and get this the new security system came from Activision lol.
I guess that sounds plausible. Someone had said that they attended a LAN party, and everyone there received the same suspension e-mails. It did catch me off guard though, since--to my knowledge--Account Administration doesn't usually reset your password when they give you a suspension. Perhaps it has something to do with quickly isolating compromised accounts. Nothing quite freaks me out more than trying to log into the game and getting the password incorrect message. I thought I'd been hacked for a minute, until I checked my e-mail and saw the 4x suspensions/password resets/apology e-mails. I guess the whole thing lasted 2 hours? I was watching TV the whole time...
