Default Hardware review request : Logitec 600

I'd love it if someone could do a review of this mouse. I'm currently useing a corsair keyboard and naga mouse but I feel like the software support from both companies is inferior to the program that my old logitec g11 (13?) had.

The Logitech 600 is great, especially if you're using ISBoxer, because it is natively supported. It has way more buttons than I would like (I'd rather have fewer, bigger buttons) but the fact that the buttons aren't (necessarily) mapped to the keyboard means that you have 16 buttons under your thumb is very convenient.

I no longer use any Razer products. Sold my naga mouse, and the blackwidow ultimate is sitting on a shelf. Too many driver issues, for me at least.

The G600 is slightly larger than the naga. I'd like it to weigh more, or have adjustable weight like the G500s. The side buttons are contoured, so it's easier to feel which button you're pressing. It has a "shift" button on the other side, so you can double up on buttons. It's definitely an improvement over the naga, but not by that much.

The software is nothing special, but it works and has no issues.

For me it has one HUGE feature that the naga does not..other than everything the last posters have listed, and that is a TILT wheel! I discovered that having a tilt mouse wheel ( it tilts left and right..adding two more keybinds ) allows me to have amazing control when "kiting" mobs or players. I bind my left and right strafe key to the tilt and use Q and E for DPS. Being able to strafe and move with the mouse and keep all my left fingers for smashing DPS keys has made me a better player. It also makes it very easy to move my team out of "shit on the ground" faster and easier..and makes it easy to keep DPSing the boss at the same time. I personally will never buy another mouse without tilt wheel.

Actually, it's a lot more than 16 since you've got the GShift {whatever} and 3 "modes" you can flip through per profile, lol. I think you can also set up a hotkey to swap between profiles to get another round of modes, but I haven't played with that at all.

I've had my g600 for over a year now and I love it. Like Lyonheart says, the tilt wheel is a huge improvement. My g600 has a better texture on it that my Naga did and stays cooler in the hand. It's heavier and bulkier than my Naga, which took some getting used to, as did the wedge-style buttons. I find the 3rd row of buttons harder to use with the g600 than I did with the Naga's flat buttons.

I wish there was a text alert or popup in the corner of the screen to alert which mode you were in on a profile, like there was with the Naga profiles, but no luck there. Instead you need to depend on the LED color of the side buttons. But, it's still made me far happier than the Naga in the end.

I bought 2x g600's. One for me and one for my kid. Maybe it takes some getting used to because I prefer a more typical mouse feel, so don't care for it. I feel that it's too light and a bit cheap. I much prefer the g500. The g600's buttons are too close to be useful to me, and there are a lot. I don't want to accidentally hit hero, or blow some cooldowns.

On the mouse I use, ISBoxer broadcast on/off, ISBoxer keymaps on/off (DPI increase/decrease buttons). It has 3 side buttons - I use one for IWT, one for forward, one for backwards. Tilt for strafe left and right.

My kid still uses the g600, but he uses it like a normal mouse. I'll use it on my laptop as a normal mouse from time to time since it beats a trackpad or the apple magic mouse.

I agree that whatever mouse you get, the tilt wheel is a requirement. I use it to strafe left and right to avoid stuff all the time.

When you strafe with the tilt-wheel do you strafe your master only, or do you strafe the whole team?

Raga Naga 2014 has a tilt wheel and the side buttons are mechanical now which is a big improvement over the older versions of the naga. The size of the 2014 is bigger than the older versions and doesnt get hot overly hot anymore.
