software KM help

I used to use kavoom for a long time, I'm returning to multiboxing and I can't get it to work any longer. I suspect it's related to Norton 360, but I've uninstalled this several times with no luck.

So, I've been trying to find a KM replacement.

Synergy - works good, but the mouse look spinning thing is a deal breaker.
Input Director - doesn't work with Windows 8 apparently
Share Mouse - mouse look spinning thing again
Multiplicity - for some reason it keep reseting the mouse speed when I move to a different monitor, incredibly annoying.
HotkeyNet2 - now Mojo, no longer has KM features.

Anyone using anything better or have a a work around those issues?


I'd really like to go back to Kavoom. Their tech support was very unhelpful. I telnet'd from each machine as they asked to demonstrate that the programs were open on the appropriate ports and after that worked, they just shrugged their shoulders and said we don't know.

Hotkeynet.com/hkn2 click download...very bottom line link says "here." That will allow you to download hkn2, and not mojo.
For the others the spinning issue is due to the mouse being held while moving to a second monitor physically attached to another computer, quite a few have have tutorials showing methods of avoiding the issue.

I'm still at a loss about finding tutorials. I found an article about Synergy going back in 2008, but I cannot find a finx for Share Mouse for example or Synergy. Synergy forums still has it listed as known issue.
