The new SWTOR: Galactic Starfighter expansion is coming soon!

Your multiboxing team will be able to fight PVP battles in space with customized starfighters. The 12v12 free-flight dogfighting is sure to add some excitement to your play.

In Galactic Starfighter, you’ll find two new battle zones. The Lost Shipyards are Imperial starship construction and repair yards tucked away in an uncharted asteroid field. The Kuat Mesas are ore mining and shipping areas where your team can battle for valuable resources.

You’ll be able to customize your starfighters and tailor them to your style of multiboxing. You can purchase premium ships and unlock variants with different components, giving you the ability to specialize each ship’s role in battle. Plus, you can get new paint jobs, blaster colors, and trail colors to add some pizazz to your fleet. As you play, you’ll earn requisition, which is a new type of experience that can be used to unlock new weapons, abilities, powers, and more!

There are a variety of ship roles for you to master for your team, depending on your preferred combat style. The gunship has heavy fire power and can eliminate enemy ships from a long range. A scout is speedy and examines areas to collect information or capture objectives before your foes can react. Strike fighters are built for direct combat and use a variety of powerful weapons to destroy enemies.

Another cool feature that could benefit your multiboxing team is the capability to assign companions and crew. You can assign up to four crew members with special skills to help you in battle. Assigning a co-pilot allows you to take advantage of their active abilities, while the rest of the support crew provides passive ability bonuses.

With Galactic Starfighter, you’ll be able to boost your ground game multiboxing characters with the additional XP and credits earned. You can also jumpstart your progression by converting your starship requisition to fleet requisition using Cartel Coins. In addition, starting January 14th, you can purchase starfighter passes from the Cartel Market for even faster leveling and progression.

Not entirely sure how starfighter would box. I can't see it being either an effective, nor pleasureable experience.

The fighters would need to practically be on top of each other. Flying one fighter and dodging fire is tough enough as it is =p
