Default Possible fix for alts following nuke delay...

scenario:
you run to a mob and cast ur nuke, your half way threw your nuke when alts catch up to your main and cast nuke.

Problems:
mobs already running at you from your mains nuke so your DPS while at range is lowered
in PVP burst dmg is lowered as your main will tag the enemy 1st giving healers more time to target and start a heal before your big dmg starts.

Possible fix: (cant test as its patch day)
using WSAD as movement keys for your main, bind W to "/follow <main>" on alts
change ats nuke macro to

/cleartarget (you have nothing targted)
/Follow (you try to follow nothing which iirc just stops you following)
/cast [target=MainTarget] <yournuke> (your alts now standing still nuking)

what this should in theory do is when u hit your nuke key all alst should stop following start casting nuke, when you want to move again(pressing W to move forward) your alts should start to follow again.

Would this work ? any Ideas ?

I don't believe /follow while having no target will break follow. As far as I know there's only two ways to break follow. Any type of movement input or meleeing something. Well, and space bar if you're swimming or on a flying mount.

The problems I have from this all stem from lag. I average about a 200-250ms ping since my server is on the opposite coast (why in the world is a PST server on the east coast?). So my clones don't see the main stop moving until about 250ms after he does. Thus they don't stop and start casting until then. Also, I've noticed that it takes about that long when I change targets on the main for the clones to pick up on it. I can't tell you how many times I've clicked the wrong mob on the main, then clicked the right one and started casting, only to have the clones fire at the first one I clicked on. Perhaps at some point I will have to transfer to a realm at the Seattle data center.

If you w8 just about 1sec after moving into a mob before you start your nuke the alt will follow at the same time.. In pvp this is ofc harded... But i thought about a thing that might help... If you enchant/gem +minor runspeed on alts but not on the main, that might atleast if you run for lets say, blade edge arena, from the start and up on the birdge.. maybe make them start faster as they will be as close to you as posibol. And atleast the gap between the nuke from the main to the alts will be smaller..

Have anyone tested this out, or have any ideas on that?

haha, I like the enchating your slaves with run speed and not your main. I think in the end this might be worse though, or such a minimal help that it won't be worth it. 2 things:

1. the tiny speed increase you get still won't make them run right ontop of you, so you still have to run in, stop, and wait for a sec on your main. It might be .2 less of a second of wait, but meh.

2. Idk if you've ever followed someone when you move faster than them, but you end up running, stopping, then running again. Thus your slaves might be in the middle of their stopping and waiting for you to move forward more, before you stop, thus making it take even longer.

Couple of my inputs.

I have tried the boot enchant and it doesnt solve this problem.

Lag was pretty bad last night, to be expected especially with the patch.

Last week I overclocked my CPU and that seemed to provide the most significant improvement to date. From 2.2 -2.6GHz. The difference went from my toons not showing up on my mains screen, for example while riding around on my epic mount they would appear 20yds away on my main. With the improved processor speed they would now show up in the same window without having to pan the view. I also noticed that they casted in a tighter cluster when stopping to nuke, which also equals they were following closer on my main so I didnt have to wait as long to cast my nuke.

Just curious what are the stats on your system?
