    Default Samsung SSD Died ?

    Hey all,

A few nights ago we had a massive lightning storm here so before it got here i turned off my computer and waited it out. One bolt hit across the road close by and my power went out briefly.

The next day i started up my computer and it hung on the motherboard loading screen for longer than usual then loaded windows normally. I restarted it later that day and it sat on the motherboard load screen for 2 mins then loaded another copy of windows that is on a different hard drive.

Now i go into my computer my SSD wont even come up there. Ive gone into the boot order in bios but its not registering there either.

The SSD is only 6 months old and i have a surge protector that the computer plugs into also.

Is there anything else i should try before i buy another ssd ?

    Cheers

Alot of surge protectors have that $100,000 warranty thing, you send in your damaged computer equipment that was being protected by the surge protector and they repair or replace it.
