Racism goes both ways. Either nobody says the word, or everyone can say the word. And since nobody can agree on it's use, or whether it's positive or negative, I prefer the former solution: nobody says the word.

The only way this planet will ever be dnoe with racism is if people completely igrnore it. IE - it never happened, it doesn't exist. Simple things like asking someone what color there skin is is enough to keep it going (like on a government census).

So fucking sad.

Sadly, I have no faith in the human race. I don't think the planet will ever get rid of prejudice based on gender/race/religion/whatever. There will ALWAYS be people that hate other people for one of the above reasons. It stinks, but for however many 10's of thousands of years that mankind has existed, so has intolerance.

I'd say ur right that seeing negative things can help you.. It will strengthen your resolve to do good IF you are already so inclined. If you have the mentality of a sadist however, things like that will just reassure you in the thinking that what you are doing is acceptable and will if anything drive you to do worse things.

overall conflict is not progress then.. It will strengthen your point of view, with the odd exception, whether it be good or bad. Progress in the right direction (doing good etc) can only be achieved in absence of conflict and with stimuli supporting ethical behaviour, productivity etc
