I know there was issues with them that Blizz didn't seem to care about fixing {passengers on multi-person mounts got ejected every time you crossed a phase or CRZ line}. Made life a PITA when combined with the change that removed group-wide mounted speed boosts {Crusader Aura} and made them passive, self only.
No still get dismounted when crossing zones sadly
