Default New Battlechest Marked as Trial account

So I setup the first account, it's a trial - attempt to RAF and I can't. So I upgrade to Battlechest, still can't, upgrade to MOP still can't - the game thinks it's still a trial account, internet resources suggest I will have to wait 72 hours.

So I buy a second battlechest from the blizz store, without setting up a trial account first. I login to that, still it thinks that is a trial account. Won't let me use chat, won't let me RAF.

I'm loathed to buy five accounts now then wait 3 days before I contemplate playing on them..

I see RAF can be applied to accounts less than 30 days old, I assume if I buy them now I can still RAF them later

Yes I've read you can do it, I'd just given in to starting them without RAF whilst I wait - but found you can't even group within the first '72' hours of purchase of the game!

I pray for an early release... what a joke

I can say that I've never ever been hit with any trial restrictions and I must have done 10 sets of RaFs over the last few years. From what I remember, the moment you accept the invite you're able to input a game key. If you input a game key at that time you will not be restricted as a trial (from all of my experiences). If you wait or log into the account while it's still under trial status then I would assume the system now thinks you're a trial and will treat you as such for as long as it takes to update itself.

To send the invite you need to be in game right? so I bought the game to get in game. Even if it's full, not trial - you get "72 hour" restriction.

I never got as far as being able to send any RAF

Honestly, I forgot that they just moved the whole process from the website to the in-game UI, so I don't know if you can avoid the trial status thing.

I would think you still could avoid it in some way, because I could see people getting pissed that their buddies are stuck at level 20 due to that trial restriction thing. I'll be doing a new set of RaF here soon enough and I guess I'll find out for myself.

I think the level 20 limit doesn't take affect if it's not actually a trial account.

Also I guess trial accounts can accept invites from the master account - but since mine are all flagged trial now, i can't even party them yet

When I did RAF on a new account a few months back, I did the whole thing through the website. I purchased the digital download editions of the game, so maybe that got around the "trial period" restrictions.
