I haven't bought or even played a console since PS2, but MS is off to a pretty bad start with the XBox One.

I guess that shows that I don't pay enough attention to the console market these days.![]()
I haven't seen anything out of the ordinary as far as failure rates go on a new product release. Both XBox and PS4 are well under a 1% failure rate. None of which have been contributed to anything more than poor shipping conditions and dumb'arses breaking them on their own and trying to blame the manufacturer. When I worked for Dell, we replaced optical drives every day for eating disks. It seemed to us there might have been problems because we were the ones replaceing them every day, but compared to the 100 million that went out each year, there was no problem.
I bought three. One for me and two for nephews. I really like what Kinect can do for an entertainment center. As a boxer it really speaks to me.
Currently 5 Boxing 5 Protection Paladins on Whisperwind Alliance
The Power of Five!!! ( short video )
I think both consoles are fine. I got PS4 on launch. SONY knows their stuff. The PS4 Killzone is good looking for console standard. Obviously neither is touching the PC master race in terms of graphics. I played PS4 for like 30mins then went back to PC lol. I think fitness games are all I am going to do with console. With that said, XBOXONE is better for party and fitness.
