There's another way to hit CTRL? I guess it's my nails, but I've got no other way to hit CTRL without hitting every other button on the way down, lol.

I don't think I could ever switch to alternate movement keys. If I swapped to ESDF, Tab {my IWT key}, ~ {my IWM key} and CTRL all become hard to reach. Alt can be pushed down with the bottom segment of my ring finger, but since I've got a wedding ring there, I have no real sensation of pushing. It's much easier for me to simply fold my thumb under to hit ALT as I do on WASD. It also makes my hand rest on the left Windows key and Caps Lock, which are not keys I want to be tripping over all the time. It feels like a disaster for my carpel tunnel.

As far as the mouse, I think I use far more mouse buttons than I do keyboard buttons. It's just way easier for me to roll my thumb around than it is to reach around a keyboard. All those years with the Gameboy perhaps.

I've never tried one. I tried one gamepad once, the Wolfking Warrior, and I couldn't get into it. It was cheap, like $30, but the new gamepads these days are 3-4 times that much after tax and shipping.

I've been wanting to move more stuff to my mouse for some time, but while the G700 has a handful of buttons to use, I feel that they're placed in awkward positions which make them difficult to repeatedly hit while maintaining the camera/turning/movement.

I feel that the G700 fits my hand perfectly and weighs just right (because they're a battery in there), but earlier today I went ahead and hooked up the Cyborg MMO7 that I had lying around and am now using it. My major turn off about this mouse before was the lack of ability to re-map some of its buttons, but they've since updated their software and give people the ability to map everything except one (which I'd still like to re-map).

Over the past day I've felt like I've had to learn how to play games on the computer all over again with this new mouse and keyboard hand placement. -_-
