Default Recruit a Friend - Leveling

Hey i started wow in 2008, quit in 2011, for school, and have now returned. I have decided to make a fresh new account, for various reasons. I am wishing to get to higher levels quickly so was thinking about using RAF and Dual Boxing as a way to get higher levels quicker. I have done a little dual boxing before - however i was not very successful at it. So i am wondering what would be the quickest way to level using this, dungeons, questing or being run through dungeons. Also is it easier when first starting dual boxing again to use the same class, so for example, a druid and a druid or a hunter and a hunter, as i am only planing on using two accounts - my main and the other to level with.

Any tips would be greatly appreciated on how to undertake this.

Also with RAF you can recruit your own email correct? So have two accounts on the one email address etc

    Thanks

If you use ISBoxer then the need for identical classes isn't all that important. A DPS and a healer is fun. Something like an Ele Shaman and a Disc Priest works well. That way you can get better efficiency on loot drops.

I did dungeons from 10-80 on my last 5-man team. It was quick and painless. With only two team-members you'll probably want to quest. That goes really fast with RaF.

Know that RaF is currently turned off, although I think it will be re-enabled real soon now. When it comes back it will be 1-85, instead of 1-80.

Yes, you can recruit your own email battle.net account. That's a really good idea for many reasons.

Fastest way to level with raf and no booster is to run a tank and a healer. You get instant queue pops and if you have heirlooms you can probably solo moat of the 1-60 content with just a tank and healer.

Disc priest healer is crazy overpowered at low levels and warriors or paladin tanks are pretty easy as well.

If you have any kind of booster, and you're looking to hit the high levels fast, I'd recommend creating two new accounts, one recruits the other, and the use anything, and 80,85,90, etc. to boost. It's still considerably faster than just about anything out there.

With the new RAF, if you have some gold around, you can hire a raid geared... anything, especially warlock or blood dk, to boost you 80-85 in... wait for it... 25 minutes. maybe like 11 minutes if you happen to have a couple 300% xp pots. There are also, and I won't give them away, some 85-90 boosting spots you can hire a geared player to help you with. Cut that awful grind from 20-40 hours to only a few hours max.

I'm about to activate my account once MoP is $10.

Can you please give more information on the 25 mintues boost. How can I find people who will do it on my server etc?

Find someone who is in raid gear ilvl 550+, preferably warlock, blood DK, brewmaster monk. Ask them to run you through stonecore and whatever that other one was with the dragonkin. takes like 2 runs and they can pull nearly the entire instance at once.

You can do Monkey cages, or the sprites in Kun Lai Summit.

Thanks for all the reply guys - sorry taken a while to get back. Above was suggested running a tank/healer for instances etc - however this is my first time multi boxing, so would it be harder to learn this combination? of controlling both toons at once to heal and tank.

Also when is MOP $10? as someone said above

I believe it is a Black Friday thing.... that would be the 29th. Not sure if they will start it early or whatnot.
Doing my best to get motivated for the WoW Headless Horseman mount hunt of 2013... so far failing. and now in 2018, let's see about those HH mounts! [Edit: Actually got an HH mount in 2018... on separate account 6. One to go! In 2019, my last BNet accout, the main one, got the HH mount. End of an era.]

I multibox because I have no time, have a life, have a job and[/or] money and have little patience for drama and temper tantrums. -- heffner
