Default MultiB on 1 PC, random crashs

    Hi there!

Yesterday i tried to set up 4 wow-chars and bind all the clients (1 wow installation) with AHK.

    Ok, it works. but...

sometimes, without any warning or signs, 1 oder 2 wow instances crashs with an error "memory could not be read".

i changed my ram, but this error is sill up.

    got anybody an idea?
welll, does wow have a internals problem when it running multiple times at ONE installation?

    Thanks for your help!

    hi keyclone!

    thanks for your answer.
but, i dont know what this can be. i can handle my hardware well, changed my ram, but this doesn't solve this problem. memory appears to be okay.

next one i think is my gfx-driver, but if i play wow in single mode, no problem appears....

    anyone had the same problem?

sometimes i have seen wierdness with the audio drivers.

try unchecking 'background audio' and 'hardware acceleration'

this should make it so the only audio you'll hear will be from the active window (common issue)

... as well as, instead of doing sound processing on the card/chipset... it'll do it in software (very minor.. should not impact performance noticeably)

Are you firing up seperate copies, or running it all out of the same directory?

What Computer System you used for running five instances of WoW?

Yes, its all started "out of the same directory".

my machine handles it great, cpu's performance at all 4 wow windows tell me 80% usage and 1gig free memory.

it works some minutes, that its crashs 1 or 2 instances.

Copy the WoW folder into three new folders, so you have each wow in a own folder and start from there the Launcher and you will see it will run without any problems I had this before, when i tried running two instances, seems to be some file acess problems!

aye, some PC's will have 0 problems running them all from one install location, others crash randomly and have various problems with disconnects etc. I installed as many copies as I needed to be safe, you can just copy/paste them after all
