x-keys & modifiers?

Do the programmed keys work in conjunction with modifiers from the keyboard?

I have a macro bound to F5 that utilizes modifiers of <shift> and <ctrl> within it. So I program one of the buttons on the x-keys pad to be F5. Then while playing I hold the <shift> key on the keyboard and hit the x-keys button, does WOW recognize that as a <shift> F5?
