    Default Eq2 question about dungeon difficulty

    I can't figure out EQ2, My team is 91, I'm in the 91-95 areas and the Dungeon finder says the instance is 90-94, the wiki says is 90-92. there are 99's in there.
    the kill my tank before my healer makes his first cast.

    there are several dungeons with 94's in them and they are relatively easy mode, but they aren't in the dungeon finder.

    So, any other boxers using Dungeon Finder at all? I can't see the point of putting someone in a level 99 instance at 90 or 91s, I'm sure a 94 or 95 might handle it but not a one shot wonder team.

    As far as I know, nobody uses the dungeon finder, for lots of reasons. Better to use one of the fan sites (like ZAM or the Wiki) and get a list of the instances, and pick which ones you want to try.

    And the way the mobs work in this game, it seems that for a full group, they want you to be fighting high orange (or red if you're good) mobs. So that would be mobs 5-7 levels above you.

    I'll have to agree with Tatanka7th, but not from personal experience since I haven't boxed there in a long time. But I was soloing for a while a few months ago and people were constantly complaining about how terrible the dungeon finder was. The DF in EQ2 is about on par with Voice in WoW when it comes to usefulness so no one ever uses it.

    It has no gear check..it places you in dungons that require a certain level of gear to have a chance..but has no system in place. A simple item level prereq would fix it. There are several tiers of dungons at current max level.

    When I six boxed EQ2 I never got the dungeon finder thing to even work. I had it split my group up and other people were there. Sometimes a toon would be locked out with no reason why. I think I dicked around with it for a day before I just walked to each instance I wanted to do.

    Dungeon finder only works for me if I select a single dungeon for it to find. I guess what pissed me off was it says it's 90-94 and it might be easy mode or it might be impossibly hard. once I hit 91, all of the easy ones dropped off the list. it's either hard, harder or hardest left to choose from. I know there are several 90 dungeons I can go to. I just wanted the free ride to a "do-able" instance. EQ2 seems to make me pull the whole room if I'm too low for the instance ( one shot and 30 hit my tank )

    I'm not sure exactly what happened. I did something that reduced my LAG. Some video settings, At least I think that's what it was. the game no longer runs on for 5 min after a long fight and I don't die nearly as much anymore.
    a panic heal actually works instead of 5 minutes late.
    the team used to go poof and now we smoke stuff. Hit max AA for Destiny version and we went from 93->95 in a few loops of the Skyshrine district.

    They made a change to spell processing I think. Was in an update note I skimmed...

    Also they swapped Multi Attack and DPS bonuses. Multi Attack was killing the servers with all the little hits needing to be reported, that in turn needs to come down to each one of your clients = LAG.

    I used to get some spell processing lag but it is all gone now.

    It's mentioned about a quarter of the way down here. There's mention of it in this thread as well and in the update notes under Combat Mechanics.
