While that's all true, I've been playing a week and a half, so that's not possible right now. For now, I mine a bit in hisec, and was just wondering how much more I'd make searching for the "better" hisec ores. You can imagine my surprise when I found out that it was hard to do much better than Scordite.

For now, I've found a nice 0.7 system that has little traffic, and lots of asteroid fields with the easiest 4 ores, and a rare occurence of next one (kernite? No Omber in Caldari space, from what I've read). And it seems that the others in the system go for the Plagioclase and Pyroxenes, leaving the Scordite for me And there are plenty of the better varieties (the +5% and +10% kinds). And at this point, it doesn't take much to keep me mining, since my 5000 m3 ore hold takes about 15 minutes to fill.

I'm on the last skill needed before qualifying for a Retriever (well, Mining Barge I will still be needed, but that takes less than an hour). Once that happens, I'll see where else I can get to, to get to the really good ores. I may hit you up for some advice once I'm ready to look into null sec
