the macro's in EQ2 are just not right ( imo ), the first available in the macro list is cast and the last one is always queued if it can be.
at least that's what I think is supposed to be happening. it's probably best to have the shortest recasting time on the queued or last item.
I have Inner Space set up for steps so when I press the 1 key it cycles thought "1, alt-1,ctrl-1" and I have 3 sets of macros for the 1 key.
so a typical macro for the 1 key might look like this
/useability foo (60 second recast )
/useability bar (15 second recast )
/useability fubar ( 5 second recast )
I'm getting a massive lag using this setup when the fight gets busy. it's like the key presses are queued up in Inner Space as opposed to ignored in the game.
if I have a long boss fight and I press the keys too fast it gets all queued up, I can't move because I'm still casting or not taking new commands including movements.
I was in a fight where I was supposed to click on the bones in 5 seconds or they become a buff to the boss, I couldn't click on them due to this LAG.
the healers can keep casting for several seconds after the fight is over, I even have a cancel casting button and it's not doing anything.
does anyone else use macro's like this?
does anyone else see this kind of lag?
does anyone else have an alternate suggestion for my casting setup ( instead of macro's ) I'm thinking of trying single spells again :-(
