/timeplayed 1-85 Group of 5?

Hey,

I'm looking for an answer from the vets here.

How long did it take you, in terms of /timeplayed, to get your group of 5, whatever comp, from level 1-85? Or even 1-90?

I'm thinking about doing 1 Druid - 5 Shamans, and I'm curious how long the whole process takes!

The entire process is going to vary greatly based on a lot of different factors. Someone who's "played through" dozens of times is going to have a far faster time than someone who hasn't. Already being familiar with the classes, software, macros and multiboxing in general will decrease the time to level. Having RAF/Heirlooms/Max level guild/rest bonuses or not will impact it. Knowing various leveling tips like when to do what dungeon and when to go out and quest/grind/etc will shave time off.

I can't speak to my team since I've been playing the same team since Wrath {some of the toons being rolled back in the later half of BC even} so their actual time /played wouldn't remotely reflect time to level, but I have gone back and continued old teams to waste time. Playing the slowest, most time wasting fashion I can {generally doing every quest in a zone until they go grey, even if it's a gathering quest, doing dungeons only once if a quest sends me there, etc} I still make it through an expansion a weekend as a general estimate. Then again, I can probably boost a new toon or team in a single weekend.

I don't have an answer to your question, but it's kinda general, so...

With RaF?
With Heirlooms?
With Guild bonus XP?

Doing dungeons only?
Doing quests in the outside world only?
Doing a mixture of both dungeons and quests in the outside world?

I can tell you that when I recently hit level 80 on my teams I didn't bother to check my /played, but I can't imagine that 1-85 takes longer than a week if you have RaF, a dungeon-viable team, and can just keep cruising through randoms with LFD.

my /played on my shammy group (i had looms) and was only a group of 3 was about 3 days. just doing quests.

I was thinking Full looms,except for rings, guild XP, a group of 4 Ele Shamans + 1 Druid. Then roll dungeons to 90. How was it levelling 3 Enhance to 90 Ebony?

I'm thinking without RAF to begin with Mirai, then RAF after first goup. Dungeons all the way. Or, which way to do you think would be quickest?

Its been awhile and my memory is a bit iffy with age, but I think i was doing 1-85 in 20ish hours with a booster, so 14 hours for 55-85 sounds easy. I was a fast but average leveler, as there were people doing 1-85 in 12-14 hours. I knew they were doing it and could see how it was possible, I just don't have the patience to push through leveling that way.

You can get answers here on how fast some people do it and you can plan on that, but then you realize just how long you'll be sitting nonstop, how many times you'll be doing the same monotonous thing over and over and over and over again, then you take a sip of soda and do it over and over and over again.

A sincere answer from me would be, You can do it in one weekend if you really wanted to.

I thought the dome got nerfed a long time ago.

Even still, quests are pretty easy, from 85-90, especially if you have rested. Only takes probably 40 hours max to get 85-90.
