Default Pally AoEing SM Questions

OK all, I took my little clone army of lvl 25 shamans to SM for the first time, to be boosted by my lvl 62 Prot Pally.

The Graveyard was a joke, but I found an interesting issue in the library. While I could hold the agro on the casters with no problem, my usual tactic of Holy Shield/Consecrate worked well until the mobs fled, the casters would flee out of range, then come back part of the way and target the shaman instead of the pally. I suspect that I'm doing something wrong with my Shamen, or my technique with the Pally, I'd really appreciate any advice from more experienced folks.

Thanks,

Thwump and the Ghastly Crew

are you useing the shammies to heal the pally?

Yep, is that what's setting the agro?

Exactly. Dont heal him unless you are out of combat where the shammies wont create any threat. I had this problem boosting pug lowbies with my holy priest because holy nova causes 0 threat. they even sneezed and the mobs would flock to them lol.

Forget library too many mobs turn back on big pulls. do cathedral and armoury.

enter instance
leave alts at entrance where they apear.
run sideways all the way round gathering mobs so you parry / block / dodge. (use strafe)

armoury - 1 pull all the way to herrods door. use DS 1/4 of the way back to heal so wings are rdy when u get back for DPS pull mobs to the entrance corridor to LOs casters and get alts in XP range.

Cath - 1 pull if your good geared 2 if not good gear. to do 1 pull gather all outisde doors get to doors, shield - open doors - tab boss and all mobs agro.
(jump off waterfall and u can get in 2-3 big heals before mobs runs round.)
kill in entrance corridor.

forget looting rinse and repeat. no need to move alts from entrance and they never agro or die.

QFT. You're either over-pulling or you're not using seal/judge light when you should be.

I seal/judge wisdom almost always, but when your health starts getting low I switch to light until it re-stabilizes, then go back to wis. Check out my video if you need help.

The run is with 4 warlock lowbies so no healing is necessary.

Vyn is right.. if you have the pally buffed correctly ie with righteous fury.. you should be able to keep aggro on him easily.. i've done the pally tank thing and you have to give him a few seconds to build aggro and not over heal
