It sure is fun when you're cranking out caps/supers/doctrine for your alliance by the shitload. To each their own I suppose. Just remember, all those ships you blow up had to be made by someone. If you play the whole mining/manufacturing/research chain of production with a multiboxed fleet, you can make some serious cash.

I personally swap between doing industry and other isk generating methods (ratting/plexing) all the time, though my mining fleet is the best isk/hr setup I currently have.

But yea, jumping into faction warfare is never a bad idea. You'll get plenty of opportunities to shoot at other people, and you can do it in cheap frigs. Multiboxing a blob of cheap frigates is one of my favorite passtimes.
