do yourself a favor, and join the militia. or simply move out of highsec and go to some quiet lowsec space. (khanid region, or if you are feeling adventurous go to the wildlands region!)

living in lowsec is much more fun.

if you are playing eve, and your ships aren't exploding you are playing mining online, something which is nowhere near as fun as eve online.

unlike other games, "stuff" can be lost, something which usually makes newcomers to eve become risk adverse, its only natural, in fact hoarding is a natural human behavior. the problem is that fear will ruin your enjoyment of the game. fear is the path of the carebear, and being reckless will lead to you being broke. (in-game) the middle ground is just being smart, and losing stuff in a calculated manner achieving short term goals.

want to do lowsec exploration? do it on t1 cruisers with t1logi support. want to do lvl5s? do it on t1 battlecruisers with a t2 logistics.

the game rewards multiboxing by allowing the fleet to be very cheap, so your risk/reward will always be favorable. you can spend 2 - 3 hours doing lowsec exploration, lose 2 t1 fleets and still come out making 300% of your investment in ships back.

and the best place to pick up all the skills you need is in FactionWarfare lowsec. you will learn how to lose ships, how to recuperate quickly, and since you are new with low SP, and will be flying in space that's limited to frigate and cruiser sized ships, you wont feel overpowered by the veterans, at least not so much.
