Default Does selling ISboxer profiles/configurations breaks the ToS?

Someone offered me money for my challenge mode and Proving Grounds ISboxer configuration files (keymaps/macro's ...). So I was wondering if charging money for what are basically text files was violating any rules (between me/isboxer or me/wow). Anyone an idea about this?

Your ISBoxer configuration is yours, sell it if you want. You can also be a consultant and charge fees for helping people if you want.

    Thanks for clearing that up.

    To the funny replies:

My setup, although been months since I last used it, is basically completely scripting challenge modes. It covers every piece of movement in all instances by means of keymaps. Some rooms/bosses even have multiple keymaps. Every spell cast is tuned through macro's. I have a big ass weakauras setup that displays a warning when to change to which keymap, including key combo to activate it. I use a logitech G510 where every G key does something unique in this process. I have multiple naga profiles with each 8 keymaps that I switch to as well. It's not just something I made overnight, but it's a massive amount of time that gets into finetuning this. I did not keep track of how many hours exactly, but 300 hours+ won't be far from the truth. And then again, I use my own logic quite often, so it could be (actually sure is) a total clusterfuck for other people and way to much a pain in the ass to figure it out. I made it for my own enjoyment, because it was fun figuring that out (just like I've programmed a good amount of sometimes useless programs for my own use that will never leave my computer, but the making of it is what I enjoyed).

Seeing how other people making a killing with questing guides (zygor), the easiest content to do. Seeing people make moneywith blogs that tell you how to make gold. Then there are all the shady business out there that make tons of money with well shady things. Hell there are a ton of boosting companies that charge people quite some money for getting 9/9 gold in challenge modes. not to mention arena boosts. Illegal I know, but they advertise on the prime twitch channels, and recently blizzard was actually doing giveaways on those channels who had a boosting banner up. Point being, there are people making money of stupid/trivial stuff that doesn't violate the ToS, and there are people making money of stuff that violates the ToS. When offered the opportunity, I asked first, in public. Taking all other stuff into account I will at least consider it.

There is in my opinion a difference between sharing knowledge, and the actual implementation. Sharing knowledge are imo the tactics, rotations, macro's ... the actual implementation in my case is an endless amount of keymaps tailor made for my setup/computer/team. It's like sharing the knowledge/ins and outs/dos and donts on how to build a house and the implementation of that knowledge, i.e. building process of the actual house, that is time consuming.

What's amusing is that someone willing to pay for such a thing -- Especially if it's as intricate as you say it is -- probably won't even know how to use it because, as you said, it's custom-tailored for you.

So, does your price include walking them through every little single detail of your ISBoxer profile and helping them learn how to use ISBoxer like you have? Or would you only be selling the profile with no support?

I'm curious because I need to start up a site if there's a market for such a thing.

No idea, need to think about that. Really it went like this: friend of a friend of a friend adds me on skype:
him: can you boost people through challenge modes while multiboxing, willing to compensate you for that, would need it 5x for all my toons
me: uhm nope, the bnet that contains those accounts has been inactive for a while
him: any chance to teach me how to multibox through that
me: thats quite complicated and takes lots of setup, i use isboxer, weakauras and profiles for my mouse and keyboard (keyboard that Ive only connected for the challenge modes btw)
him: i use isboxer as well, any chance i can copy your settings to do the challenge modes myself?
me: took me a shitload of hours, not feeling like giving that just away, the more because its made for my system
him: well i wont mind paying for that
me: lol ok will think about it

5min later i made the OP here, and thats all

I sure think there is a market for that, Like I said, zygor sells tons of questing addons, that blows my mind. Hell, I even used to pay curse a couple of dollars each month so I can update all my addons at once. People pay for stupid shit all the time. The thing is, having to create such profiles for a profit is so time intensive you'd have to sell a shitload to make up for the time invested. I just happen to have created this for myself. But now just realized that I'd have to check back a bunch of macro's since 2 patchnotes have gone by that changed a bunch of spells and talents. So probably not even worth it.

Considering the time I put into it I wouldn't sell mine for $5000 .... The main pve macro is 89 steps long, 6 classes (meaning each step has like 6 submacros). No /castsequence so it wont break. I have 25 total macros to cover most all situations (the others are much shorter though).
