These aren't even computer games, but they're games.
Our group tried 4e Dungeons and Dragons, with mixed feelings.
One loved it, one hated it, and the others are somewhere in between.
We recently moved back to the 3.5 edition of the game.
We're roughly halfway through War of the Burning Sky.
Although I'm nearing the end of my summer seasonal work... so we haven't played since June, as I am out of province.
I was using DM Genie, for the combat; it doesn't really support Pathfinder that well, but could be used still to kind of muddle through things.
I've been looking at Pathfinder, Iron Kingdoms and Trailblazer.
Pretty much deciding to go with a mostly Pathfinder game... but to include a couple of Iron Kingdom elements (less variably hit points, fewer magic items)... and a lot of the Trailblazer (mathematical fixes for 3.x), as 'House Rules'.
I picked up a license for Hero Lab, which is a great character builder, but am still learning it, so have not incorporated the 'House Rules' into the system yet.
Combat Manager doesn't seem as powerful as DM Genie, but it does allow you to import from Hero Lab.
I'm really looking forward to a few campaigns, in particular:
Rise of the Runelords, Anniversary Edition
Rated by many as the top Pathfinder adventure; a variety of encounter types and a memorable final villain.
Ways of the Wicked
The players play the evil villains, attempting to overthrow their good country.
Kingmaker
The players explore new territory, clear it of threats, and build their own kingdom there.
Wrath of the Righteous
Demons attempt to take over the world, but the players don't think that's a good idea.
