Default really bad lag in wow?

for some reason, lately i've been getting REALLY bad lag in WoW, but it's only at my mom's house
i use a wireless internet adapter, but it worked perfectly fine a few weeks ago..... i've tried resetting my routers/modem but nothing seems to fix the problem
should i just give up on the wireless and go wired? i really love being able to play wow in my room and not having to go to my basement.... (i can't setup a new router because i don't have any money for one and i have no knowledge of how to set one up

Wireless has a long inherent latency. As I remember it you can generally expect 20 ms or so extra latency on top of what you would get with a wire. If possible I'd definitely try using a wire to see if it fixes the problem.

You might also want to see if this helps:
    Reducing latency

If you are running 5 copies of WoW on your machine the extra 20 ms delay from wireless would be multipled by 5 (potentially, ymmv).

Someone might be on the same channel as you or close to it bleeding over. Download netstumbler and see what chans are open. Change your router to an open chan.
