Now for the most important question - what server will the EU-based (even if only possibly) multiboxing crowd be starting on?

Is there no free trial for this game?
With an open beta weekend one week ago?
Within the first week after release?
With them having issues with server load during the two days of early access?
Free trial is not very likely for the next few months...
Today is the official re-release of the game. Long time ago with version 1.0 it dropped to as low as $5-10, but now that its open again, i'v seen older copies of the game go up to $35 to 40 now which is crazy.

So do I have to purchase the PC game 3 more times? Or can I just add subscriptions to my account?
I owned the 1.0 collectors edition, which is how I am in the game right now. Just curious. Thanks!

what's the verdict on this game from a boxing perspective. Action-Control wise , is it Fun ? so-so ?
I definitely hated 1.0 and wasted $90 on that crap. I heard 2.0 is big improvement. But there are still too many dialogues, cut scenes, and not enough actions is what I heard. And the quest objectives are hella confusing based on some early user feedback. Those wouldn't be a deal breaker for me though. I mostly care about smooth animation and control, responsive action feedback, fluid combat, deep itemization and skill/talent progression.
To answer if it is fun for another person is a very hard thing to do. Based off your own statements, the game would most likely not be to your likings. To me the game is fun, but i don't ask for much nor do i care about much. A game is entertainment to me, easy or hard, indepth or not so indepth.
There are a lot of dialogues and cut scenes, there can be plenty of action if you look int he right places. Most people following the main storyline will get tons of dialogue, this is expected with any Final Fantasy game design. Quest objectives are easily written for the most part, i have literally only found 2 to 4 out of several hundred quests to be really confusing.
However, Animations can seem smooth but clunky from time to time, this in my opinion due to the long GCD which makes actions not responsive becuase your still on a GCD. If you refering to a 1 to 1 comparison of action, then yes is fairly good, except the GCD is a killer. There is no skill or talent progression to speak of in terms of indepth design of classes or old school talent systems. You have set skills/traits you can have, you get bonus attribute points you can assign per class, there are "advanced classes" called jobs that are equipable. There is items slots for "materia" on your gear for enhancements. 1 Character can be all classes, classes have a certain amount of abilities they can share cross class, all the crafting pretty much flows together. There is a lot to this game, but its generally all basic stuff. If your burnt out on wow or rift or similar, then you will burn out on this game pretty quick.
My main class is 42, with most of the main story completed, i should have it fully completed and my magitech armor within the next few days. With all the server lock outs my Multi-box team is stuck at 20 because i cant get them all on at the same time right now.
Also to note: The Chocobo system is F'ing Amazing.... I wish they were more gear customizable but, they nailed a home run on this feature. But what i really mean, is that the Chocobo you can ride once you unlock it at 20 for 2000 GC Seals (which is fairly easy to get). At around 28-30 you get a quest to unlock the chocobo to become a party member when your solo. The chocobo can gain experience to get more points, and you can "spec" it to be a tank, healer, or DPS, all of which is fairly stable at doing when questing solo. There isnt much to the equipment system for them however, which is the only downside next to not being able to breed them. The chocobo also gives you bonus experience becuase it counted as a party member and not a pet. For instance with an arcanist you can have your carbuncle out + your chocobo, when you level new classes this helps tremendously.
