With suboptimal performance. So what? You are basically comparing the macro system with botting. It's clearly stated in the ToS what is legal and what not.

When a company goes out of its way to eliminate grinding cheese, pet battle XP, follow in BGs and whatnot they are fighting against what is fun and it shows.

The only thing they do with these examples you mention is trying to avoid abuse, or fix stuff that they did not intended. If your definition of fun is only making use of things that were not intended, well ...
