Offensive Macro Fails After Main Dies

I'm currently split-screen dual boxing with two pallies. When my main (focus) dies, I am unable to use any of my offensive spells which key off target=focustarget. For example I use the following macro for Hammer of Justice:

/cast [target=focustarget][nodead,harm] Hammer of Justice

This macro works fine when my main is alive and has a target. However, once my main (focus) dies, the macro on my second toon fails because it has no 'focustarget'

What is the workaround for this?

I apologize if this has been posted before. I tried searching for 'macro fails after death' but wasn't able to come up with much. I'll keep searching so if a useful link can be provided I would be very grateful. Thanks in advance!

Simply retarget the mob with your Main (who loses his target after he dies) and your alts will continue nuking as before.

Or use the search function to discover how to quickly change "Mains".
