Buying Rift- but which one to buy?

I'm thinking of buying a couple of copies of Rift before it goes F2P next week but as I don't have the vanilla game I'm not sure which one to purchase.

If I buy this it will include the base game and game time, correct? I'm a little confused by what I have read on the internet regarding the standard Rift purchase packs.

you should get game time without SOL but with the xpac you get Expansion Souls is the only thing u get extra. you get 30 day game time that will last way after FTP so you get one month of what they call Patron it should last for whatever game time you have left.

Patron accounts have some cool stuff and i been using some of it on there PTS (ptr) the xp buff is nice. if you want it after then you can buy it in as low as 3 days that is great........

I recently found that after the box version of the game was discontinued with GameStop, they lowered the prices to $4.99 to clear out the SKU inventory. They are now VERY hard to find. BUT! if you can get one or 10 (lol), do it. Having a box game active before the 12th will help get bag slots and a few other perks as the conversion from box to F2P goes through.. or so I'm told.

I'm going to say no because every other site I've checked that sells both the base expansion and the bundled edition clearly states that you're getting the expansion and the base game. That EB Games link, however, does not.

This versus this. The first link clearly states:

From what I see, most sites don't seem to carry both versions and usually opt to just carry the standalone expansion.

Unfortunately, you can't order it online b/c based on the time till ship you won't get it before the 12th, so you'll have to find it in store. I drove about 30 mins to find a store that had enough copies, but it was well worth it.

Other stores besides GameStop may have it as well.

You are right to check versions though - I bought one version of SL digitally but it did not include the original game, so I had to pony up for the original game too and add the SL expansion to it.
