Can't remember where I read about the problem with Nvida and dual monitors, what I did to help my fps is under Nvidia control panel 3D Settings ----> Mange 3D Settings ----> Global Settings

Change Mutli-display/mixed GPU acceleration to Single display performance mode.

This gave me 30-50fps on my main monitor while the other instances of WoW on the other monitor run around 14fps.

I also have some problems regarding setting up 2 monitors:

I am trying to run two different size monitors at the same time.

    Monitor 1: 19" .... Run main

    Monitor 2: 30".... Run 4 x clones.

I am using XP and I know that in XP it's best to have spanning instead of Dual view but I can't do that with two monitors with different resolutions.

Any suggestions on how to fix this problem? I have 2 graphics cards.

    Thx

I was running with 2 cards (Non-sli) but tonight I switched to just 1 card, 2 monitors.
That helped me too, except that my GPU started running pretty hot, probably because the 2 monitors were 2560x1600 and 1920x1200. That's a lot of pixels to push off 1 gpu! I crashed once from gpu overheating then gave up on that configuration.

    Is Aero disabled/off?

    To quote - http://www.computerworld.com/action/...8&pageNumber=4

Windows Aero may add pizzazz to the interface, but depending on your hardware, it may also slow down your system. You can speed up your PC by turning it off altogether, or by turning off some Aero features but leaving others on. To turn off Aero:
    1. Right-click the Windows desktop and select Personalize > Window Color and Appearance.
    2. Click Open classic appearance properties for more color options.
    3. In the Color scheme drop-down box, choose Windows Vista Basic or Windows Vista Standard, and click OK. Aero will now be turned off.
What if there are some things you like about Aero, such as window animations, but others you don't like, such as transparent windows? You can turn off some Aero features to speed up your PC but leave on others that you like using.
To do it, select Start > Computer > System Properties. Click Advanced system settings, then, in the Performance section, click the Settings button. A screen like the one shown below appears. Select Custom, uncheck those features that you want to turn off, then click OK.

As funny as it sounds a 32bit application like WoW (world of warcraft) runs on wow (Windows on Windows) in a windows 64 bit environment :P

It does not run natively, but it runs just fine

    Alternatively:
Navigate to the app you use to mulitbox (I use Octopus)
Right Click Octopus.exe and select properties
From the compatibility tab check disable desktop composition

Now Aero should turn off when you run Octopus and back on when you exit it. You can do this to Wow.exe instead but I just want to switch it off when boxing.
