I thought the amount of cash gained by having a guild might be larger, but I see that it's really not all that much, especially with the cost of bank slots and the amount of time it would take me to get my guild up to 25 and regain the guild perks.

As the person above me said, you'll probably just make enough money for guild repair if you have your own guild. Does your current guild offer you free guild repair? If they don't ask that they make an exception since you can (and presumably are) doing a lot of the "guild runs" that earn money all by yourself. I used to have this arrangement. My GM made the lowest rank in the guild for me alone and gave me a much higher repair limit than the rest of the casuals (same as raiders, I think 500g a day, which its pretty hard to use up). Having it be a low rank rather than a high one helps with no one getting upset about it. In MOP my guild just switched to everyone getting really high limits, since the cash comes easier. I still have my special rank that only I think is special, for the toons I still have in that guild. I personally did switch to a guild bank for myself, but I try to keep my tank character (or whoever I drive with) in a populated guild because the social aspect is important.
