Default Hunter Improved Pets and Level 30 cap

WTF!!?? You get the improved boar/wolf thingy but they can only level up to 30. Why the hell do they even have it in the game? You get the pets somewhere around level 24 so yay! 6 levels. All of a few days or so.

Update: so it seems once you get to 30 you need to invest points in ranger soul to get the beast to scale. But only scales up to 50 which still sucks.

Im pretty sure you only get the level 30 pet if you only spend a certain amount of points in the ranger tree. You have to be mostly Ranger speced to have high level pets. I know my rangers have equal level pets and they are 47ish.

The basic pet you get with each soul only goes up to 30ish. They do scale with your level up to 30ish as well. If you want a pet to go beyond 30 you will have to spend point into the soul to get the improved version. Once obtained, the improved pet will maintain the same level as you are. It look frustrating to me at first as well. (Quick tip, if you level a couple times without re-summoning your pet, he will still be at the same level as when you originally summoned him.)
