    Default Blood/Frost DK 1 to 1 macros.

So after finishing my shamans I've decided to try out twin melee classes. I use Keyclone atm. I am also looking for more PvE based. They are currently level 63. The master is Blood and slave is Frost.. I prefer to use 1 to 1 macros over a cast-sequence macro.

I have recently been having issues with targeting and since they are melee they need to be in range obviously, but when I press my keybind for slave to interact with target it'll randomly run pass the mob, I'll more so have to spam the IwT bind which gets annoying at times. What am I doing wrong and how can it be fixed?

My combat macros for my slave are all focus master which I happen to like, but at times I've noticed my slave just standing with its thumb up its butt.. Again, what could be going wrong?

It doesn't sound like you're doing anything wrong.

That's the expected behavior of IWT and you'll get used to it. Welcome to multiboxing melee teams.

I've been trying out a few different keybinds and I use the razer naga, currently my IwT is mouse button5, and I've noticed it only works when I hover over the slave window and same with the master. I don't know if it's keyclone not allowing it, and I do not have it blocked in the do not pass, it's starting to annoy me and will consider sticking to casters only if I can't figure this out.

As MiRai said you'll be used to it and sometimes you'll be forced to hit your follow key to stop one or another to run away and mess everything...

But... that behaviour usually happens when mob is moving. So move your tank to the mobs and then hit your IWT. The mobs will be standing still and the mellees will move to the target to do their job.

In my case (I use ISBOXER and a multi steps configuration) I included a 'face target then stop' step to avoid that behaviour. This way, they move to target but on the 3th or 4th step they will stop, face the target and IWT again. I'm pretty happy with this method.

well I changed my bind for interact with target to tab which now works on both characters when it's pressed. It's going to be something I have to get use to since I'm new to the melee class of boxing. I'll see if I can add a macro of some sort in keyclone like you described.

did you do something like this as im also interested in stopping my guys running all over the place:

    Code:
    hold any keystroke = ON

    step 1:
    click to move on
    interact with target

    step 2:
    blank

    step 3:
    blank

    step 4:
send key S to all w/o current
i have also been trying to figure out a way to make my paladin stop when i cast a heal spell but not having much joy

    Yes. It's something like that.
I have a Mapped Key named 'Face target and stop' with 2 steps:

1 - Assist me+IWT+CTM (with hold behaviour. it lasts while I'm pressing the key)
    2 - send 'S' (on release)

This key (I have it bound to F1) is also a 'Stay packed' formation, a 'Stop follow' key, a 'Don't turn your back to the enemy, you idiot!', a go loot, go skin, go pick the quest, etc.

So, step 4 of my main dps key has a Do Mapped Key 'Face target and stop'.

EDIT: This method is PVE oriented because the toons don't run in circles around the target and some PVP fans like that behaviour. Other thing is if your melees are far away from the target, and you rush with your tank and start mashing the dps key and furiously hitting the enemy, your mellees will approach slowly because they run a bit then stop, they run a bit then stop. So hit it like a pro - calm and precise. One or two times then let the other dudes arrive to the mellee spank party

I have a separate Mellee IWT key to command the mellee toons to engage for example when I drive with a caster.

Only the people that like melee get used to it.

I find it so annoying that I just avoid melee unless I drive from it.

When I play my priest + 4x DK team I usually turn of CTM on the slaves, then when I pull some mob I either use Death Grip, or just run through them with my priest, most of the times the mob ends up between my priest and DKs, in melee range.

Sometimes CTM is really useful, and you'll just have to get used to inserting the occasional /follow, or just accept the 'orbiting' behaviour, in pvp it can be quite useful .

I've got a whole section here on IWT and runaways.

Most recently I moved to "micro-movement", which I mention here. I use it in combination with the Jamba Follow + Tags and not spamming IWT from the first link. I also further adapt it with toggles that I briefly talk about in the last few paragraphs of this post. Runaways are exceedingly rare for my melee team.
