Just downloaded Rift

yea.. that happened to me as well.. The last time i played I just followed the guide Lax made.. and it all worked.. somethings changed.. I had 3 days to play for free and couldn't figure it out ( even with Laxs help ) I gave up as well.

I wish I was as smart as Lax! I would be rifting right now.

Has anyone else ever had a problem pasting text into clients? Was trying to setup macros and could only paste into a single window. Not matter what I did. CTRL-V SHIFT-INSERT. 4 of the clients would not accept a paste. I use ISBoxer, btw.

This is a UAC/Run-as-Admin issue on Windows 7. With UAC fully disabled i was able to cut and paste fine. With Run as Admin, even setting the exe to run as admin all the time, it "sometimes" worked. Disabling UAC was the only way i was able to get the cut and paste working properly.

I did the macros and keybindings for each account. Used Wow keybindings in ISBoxer and couldn't get them to follow or attack. Think I am done.

You could setup keybinds and ui on1 client(or 1 machine) and just /exportui and /exportkeybindings and then use /importui /importkeybindings to move that data around. However Macros are not stored this way.

I recently came back to rift and started over from scratch with my IS Boxer, using one of the guides in the forums and the FTL Guide, it all worked perfectly fine for me, and i suck at using isboxer properly. Hard ti say why its not working/why it did not work for either of you (blast3r and lyon)

Thanks for your response! Perhaps I should try again with just two toons to see if I can get that working. Much less overhead. I REALLY want to try boxing RIFT. BTW, will the /importui allow you to upload a file from your computer?

I think it specifically looks at your My Documents/Rift folder, i have never tried to use a network address or sub folder. If these clients are all on the same machine, im sure they should see the same folder. Since i multibox on 5 machines, i have bat file on my main machine that copies all the keybindings and ui exports to each my machines Doc/Rift Folder.

I believe the syntax for export is: /exportui (Optional name) and similar for /importui.

I figured out part of my problem and now /follow is working. /assist isn't working yet but confident I can get that to work as well! Going to try and fix it a little later and do some boxing.

Meeo, how many other boxers are on your server?

on Deepwood-PvE, there is Elania (5 x Clerics - all 60 i think), this is where my new 5xCleric team is at.
on Seastone-PvP, there is Shake several other new new boxers (if i can recall)
on Faeblight-RP-PvE, is the home more of the pve boxers old and new. I myself may transfer there.
on Wolfsbane-PvE, there are i believe 2 other 5-boxers other then myself. 1 Who comes to the forums, the other who doesnt know about these forums. My main 5-box team, and my main's raiding guild is on this server.
Greybriar-PvE, i believe there may be a few multiboxers on this server as well, i believe Krago is one.

I myself am kind of split in terms of what server i will officially end up on. Wolfsbane being my home of my raid friends, i havnt raided with him this expansion yet, so im not necessarily tied down to them.

Currently i believe with the influx of new boxers, i think seastone now holds the most boxers on it, all new as well. I was pondering transferring there myself, as i leveled my original team on one of the original pvp servers before xfering to a pve server.

Also note you can transfer from server to server - no charge, i think the cool down is every 7 days. it may be shorter now.

Edit: also - you can also join chat from that is on other servers from any server, as well as whisper, and of recently, you can "Visit"/"Guest" to a friend server by joining their group, being in the same zone. Me and Smedbox tested this the other day.
