    Default Assist macro not working.

Hi all, extreme newby to this here and most likely preparing to make myself sound like a brain dead turnip, please forgive.

I'm running keyclone and have decided to start things off with what should be nice and simple, so only 2 accounts for me. After starting keyclone and both wow clients it seemed like things were off to a good start. Keyclone recognized them both and without me mucking about in keyclone other than having started it up both accounts where happily following the wsad keys.

    "IT WORKS!" I rejoiced.

The next thing I did was set up a follow macro, which seems to be working rather well, except sometimes the slave seems to fall behind and I have to pick them back up. But I seemed to have hit a brick wall with my assist macro.

    I've tried

    /assist Shadiya
    /cast Arcane Shot

    as well as
    /cast [@focustarget] Arcane Shot

And with both of them my slave just sits there like a bump on a log.

I have no clue what I might be doing wrong. Like I mentioned, I didn't really muck about with keyclone after it seems that it was reading both of the accounts (it intimidates me *shame*) and such, so I'm not sure if that might be my problem?

Any help would be most graciously appreciated.

open a chat box on the slave and tab back to the master.... are your number keys going through at all? This doesn't sound like a macro issue.

It doesn't look like they are. =/ I assumed keyclone would automatically copy all buttons pressed unless they were in the 'do not pass' part. *confused*

Now that I spoke that out loud and checked the list wsad is in the 'do not pass' list and yet.... those keys are being broadcast to both accounts... *even more consfused* D:

Owo; And now all of a sudden an hour+ after first trying, when I finally give in and post here for help, I suddenly get a 'i need a target' from my slave account whenever I tell my main to attack. So now, without changing anything, it seems that for some reason it is transmitting and the macro is working. I'm so confused I just want to bloody well cry.

Just use isboxer and you will not need an assist macro ever again for wow.

Some of us are hardcore. I use isboxer just for the window management and key broadcasting.

No no no. This is the fun part of multiboxing! The Problem Solving and Trouble-shooting. My SO mocks my multiboxing and calls me me "Queen of Technical Difficulties" and I wear this title with pride.

But seriously, its a complex style of play that can indeed be very frustrating. If you don't find programming and problem solving fun, even using an out of the box solution like isboxer will ultimately not be super enjoyable for you.

I'd have to agree. If all you want is to get a 2-man mount and level 2 toons, you'd probably be better off leveling them one at a time. The first pair (or more) that you level via dual boxing will most likely take longer and create much frustration. I read in another thread, though, that you can whittle the time taken down to about 12 hours to level a team to 80. So if you're hoping to level a dozen toons, or if you just enjoy the technical end of things, multi-boxing is the way to go.

One point about ISBoxer: If you don't already completely understand the use of assist, follow, click-to-move, interact-with-target, etc, and how they interact with macros, you really should choose ISBoxer. It does most of that work for you.
