    Default A message from Tim

This is unedited from him. I talked to him and he seems legitimately to be looking out for the community though like any business owner you are also looking to protect your business (pwnboxer in his case)

I'm just the messenger but agree that a uniform means of asking for a means to fix this for us should be done.

To that end, I think we should find a way to address the 2 primary topics here, and then, as a community, respond to Blizzard.

    The 2 topics:

Blizzard's Concern: Curtail botting by removing /follow mode in BG/Arena

Multiboxer's Concern: We need /follow, it is critical

Let's come up with a way to address both concerns. Here is my idea.

    --Follow Mode Plan--

    Communicate this to Blizzard:
    ----------------------------------------------------------
I am a multiboxer and we are severely broken due to the removal of /follow in Battlegrounds. Would you please take a look at this suggestion to re-enable /follow for the sake of the multiboxing community? Thanks!

    1) Keep the no-follow rule in BGs

    2) Add an exception for the following:
-- A) If characters que'd for the BG in the same party, flag those characters as "follow enabled to fellow party members", which persists for a single BG que, and allows for /follow

-- B) If the characters are in the same battle.net account, flag those character as "follow enabled to fellow battle.net characters", which persists indefinitely, and allows for /follow

-- C) If characters que'd for the BG in the same raid, flag those characters as "follow enabled to fellow raid members", which persists for a single BG que, and allows for /follow

The above recommendation would allow Blizzard to maintain their anti-bot removal of /follow mode, while at the same time allowing multiboxers, either via the same party, or the same battle.net, or both, to continue to utilize /follow.
    ----------------------------------------------------------

Would this work? If so, or after modification, we need to address the second topic: Unified Response.

Once we figure out what we want, we need a Unified Response Plan.

    --My Unified Response Plan--

    1) Document the plan in a forum post in a cut/pasteable format for users.

    2) Everybody who has personal contacts @ Blizzard, email them the Follow Mode Plan.

    3) All software developers and community leaders email their users and provide them with the link to the Follow Mode Plan. Ask them to "Submit Suggestion" within game and create a GM ticket for a suggestion.

Above all else, stay respectful and positive while we work towards getting the WoW community over this bump in the road.

    Thanks!
    Tim
He wants suggestions from you all as to if you feel this is a good way to deal with the problem or suggestions on how to better make the idea before the two of our communities act.

Good luck to all of us.

B is the most feasible one to do that's in both our best interests; A & C would not address the Bot problem

I don't see this doing any good, the bot thing is Blizzard cover up for really just getting rid of us in bg's. If the /follow thing was such a big fix for bots then it would have been done years and years ago and all of you know that.

I think from the blue posts, blizz was getting a lot of whining on Multiboxing in battlegrounds. To be honest that is why I have never PvP'ed due to I always believe it is unfair, 5 characters vs. 1 really seemed wrong to me, it always felt like becoming the playground bully (regardless of whether a clever single player being able to wreak havoc with a team, most players got single shotted X 5 before they could do anything).

The caveat is, will they remove Multiboxing from the game completely down the road.

Every time I multiboxed in a battleground the other team had exactly the same number of players as my team for some reason, even when I was boxing... must be a bug

Great Plan but as someone in the know once told me:

Shorten it to 500 or less characters. Then while in game press ESC Menu > Help > Submit Suggestion > Enter Your Suggestion.

Once you put in an informative suggestion, hit submit. The suggestions submitted in this manner will go directly to the development team.

The forums are not as good of a place to submit suggestions through as they used to be. The above is what the development team requested to be put into the game to help players get idea directly to them.

I my self have submitted a "Bring Back the /follow command"(See Below) from all my MBoxxin toons and I would suggest you all do the same.

    ------

This is what I have created from the above and posted:

I am a multiboxer and we are severely broken due to the removal of /follow in Battlegrounds. Would you please take a look at this suggestion to re-enable /follow for the sake of the multiboxing community!

Keep the no-follow rule in BGs but add these exception:
    1) Allow people who join-as-party to use /follow mode
    2) Allow characters who exist on the same battle.net account to use /follow mode

Those 2 things would allow for /follow mode to STOP for bots, but would re-enable it for multiboxers!
The above is 500 Characters long for the ingame suggestions tool. Please feel free to use this example but only copy the green text if you uses this ingame.

When we were looking to make a change to disable a command used by bots, which would benefit the game as a whole, we were ok with it also resulting in multiboxing in battlegrounds also going away due to the poor experience it can create for others.
This was done on purpose, they are not going to change it no matter what you say. Its over.

You can let them try, no need to be a naysayer. I was yesterday but I've calmed down a bit.

I know but this was no accident they knew what would happen and the thing that pisses me off the most is that they did it underhandedly, I just spent $135 on realm xfers that I would never have done if I saw this coming.
