Default ISBoxer 2 Hunters, help please

I just started trying to dual box today. I just want to run 1 hunter and 1 hunter slave. I got ISBox got most of it working ok. Nothing serious just the standard stuff except that I added a few hot keys.

I followed the instructions on the ISBox wiki to set up ITW/CTM. The issue that I am having is if the slave is facing the wrong way, and i use the command for ITW the slave will not spin around and face target.

nor will the slave run closer to the target if out of range. When I do hit the command for ITW the auto shot icon starts to flash, it wants to try and attack, but will not turn.

I've scoured google and the forums trying to find a solution to this with no luck, although im sure someone else can find an answer fast.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Just noticed it works for clicking on NPCs/looting corpses all that good stuff, just not for combat.

In WoW any class without a melee specialization will not IWT in combat. If you want to have your Hunter face in combat you're going to have to do it using follow and a key to break follow. You can do it as a two step macro or two separate keys. Step 1 follow main Step 2 sends W once to Slave to break auto follow.

yeah thats what i was afraid of, i have the arrow keys set to control the slave only, so i guess ill just continue doing what im doing now which is just spinning the slave with the arrow keys until i figure something else out.

Hit follow and break it via movement key or even a mapped key as suggested above. Don't keyboard turn

    Follow.
Run through your Slave, towards the desired target.
Your slave turns to follow you, and is now facing the kill target.
Works with any number of slaves, who can /Follow your main.

    Break follow if desired.

FWIW, I've found that interact-with-target does actually work with hunters, just not all the time. It seems to be distance-dependent - it only seems to work when the hunter is close to the target. I've used it in "panic mode" at times, where the team leader dies (often unsuccessfully), but follow works better most of the time.

Hmm weird, my hunter is almost always in melee range because he is my only ranged and is usually on follow and I've never had him IWT in combat. He is in my melee ATG so the IWT spam is spamming him also, but the follow mechanic works. I switch to my hunter to position him sometimes but mostly he just follows and kills stuff dead.

This is probably starting to get a bit off-topic but I have a bit more data on this, I think. I haven't been playing hunters lately (I have 5 at 80+, I'll go back to them after my RAF benefits expire), but my mages are showing similar behavior with IWT, only it seems a bit more quantifiable. With the mages, if I hit the IWT key and they're outside casting range (the question remains casting range of what, as not all spells have the same range), they'll move towards the target. In my warrior/priest/mage team, if I set everyone on a target and hit IWT, the warrior and sometimes the mages will advance towards the target. If I'm spamming my "attack" key which on the warrior does a "charge", but on the mages does a Fire Blast, the mages will stop and do fire blast at about the same time as the warrior charges. Charge has a 25yd range, Fire Blast has a 30 yd range, FWIW.

If the mages are within melee range, they also seem to turn and face the target. If instead they are somewhere between melee and out of range, they don't do anything. You have to use follow to get them to turn around. You know, that makes me think that on my own team I need to set up a follow macro that only sets the mages on follow and not the tank, but that's my own stuff.

    Anyway, in summary:
out of range => IWT turns and approaches
melee range => IWT turns and engages in melee combat
in "casting" range but out of melee range => IWT will close and engage in melee combat for melee classes with melee weapons. Non-melee classes or non-melee weapons may do nothing.

At least that's been my observation :-)

Because you don't have a melee to follow I'd suggest you set a focus key on someone. Whoever is your melee. Or set the current hunter to the follow target.

Then what you want is a 2 step macro. The first step is the wow macro to follow focus target. The second should happen approx 2 seconds later which is a jump and a keypress back.
