Well right now the issue is building the "right" team to do it.

I've now decided on 4xAbbadons + 3x Guardians. With my current "Best Skill" fit on EFT it is 915dps per Abaddon with 82/77/74/72 armor resists, damage control for 60% across the board on hull, and I still haven't factored drones in for another 159dps. Then, the guns are 43+41 (opt/fall) meaning I can "hit" anything between 2-84. Now obviously on the last 10km or so is going to be low dmg due to fall-off or a miss, but again that's ok for an 84km max range using Imperial Multi-Freqs in Tachyon II's .


Now, obviously my guys won't have "Best Skill" fit....ever. So I've combed it out to be about 846dps with mostly lvl 4 and some lvl 5 skills that aren't required which will take a total of 93days to train into. However, I can physically FIT said abaddon fit in roughly 28days from now (38days total from character creation) . They won't be useful until about the 50day mark though .


As for my Guardians those are non-negotiable 79days :'(. My older ~70mill toon already has everything trained for a guardian so he's just chilling for now.


Even if I cannot do incursions I'll probably end up spamming missions for LP & quick kill isk to get money saved up for nullsec adventures again. At that point I'll probably turn LFC (looking for corp) .

Will pop back in here for a second. I am with you Brax on being annoyed that missions are so superior to mining in terms of isk / hr... An old buddy of mine used to always say that it had to do both with the risk involved as well as the skill requirements to get good at it that resulted in more money for missions... thats a discussion for another place =D

I do know that mining is far inferior to missions but I do like the fact that I can make decent money without thinking too much and I am one of those sick people who actually enjoy mining =D Its soothingly mindless. As long as I dont run into any of those crazy hulk ganker people then i am good to go.

Even when I get to missioning it will be nice to know that mining is available as a backup.

If I ever end up back in hisec I'll definitely hit missions again, but when in Rome make money as the Romans do.
