    Small streams make a big leak and so on.
    That's a lot of development to dump a product into a market so massively diluted and saturated the chances of it even being noticed are minimal, let alone turn a profit when you consider the time investment.

    I think there are plenty of odd jobs he could do.

    I was talking about really small scale development though. Like for example a shopping list application. There are a lot of free ones available but still some people are ready to pay for an app with same functionality. I don't know why, maybe they just grab the first one they can find and don't care about the small price.
