Installed the new video card (GTX 670 ftw) last night before work. Used the current beta (310.70) and played for about an hour. Very stable, cool and lower vram usage for the same settings (amd 6970). Newegg lowered the price $10 today ;( but I can deal with it.
This card uses the full pcb from a GTX 680 with a stacked power connector and a full length back plate. They also use the 680 reference cooling solution.
Switching leaders with the graphics macro resulted in immediate full screen/far clip objects being drawn vs the 6970 being somewhat slow to fill in objects and terrain. Much more head room on gpu usage and no stuttering or funny business at all. Three thumbs up.
I can't wait to try out the new games (Assassins Creed III, Borderlands 2) and really push the settings.
