Baby Rogue and grown up lock

Hello, first real thread about this new dimension to WOW and I can really say it is like getting a brand new game. I have been plaing with the duo (rogue and warlock) basically boosting my rogue. I wanted to have a bash before I came on here and asked for help.

At present I really just have my rogue on follow and my rather well specced lock blasts everything, rogue gets XP and any drops pretty easy. I want to do things the other way round though else weapon skills and my toon skills will never be any good.

Things I cant work out? I want to have lock follow baby rogue then stop rogue go in and stun then lock open up and even demon join in. At present the only way to get lock to stop is by going on to his screen and moving him manually out of follow mode (is there a macro for standstill)? I have found the macro for sending in the pet.

How do you run your characters, on the same computer or on different? Do you use any software or hardware to share keyboard between them?

What most do is to have a key assigned to move forward on the follower, and have the same key unbound on the leader. If you tap it, the follower will stop.

The key here is, as maqz mentioned, key broadcasting. this will allow you to control both wows from one keyboard (in software if it is on one PC) take a look in the software forum section or the wiki for ideas on the software available to help.

I have the same key bound to back on all instances, I simple push that when I want followers to stop (it causes the leader to stutter briefly as he will standstill while it is held down.)

Hello sorry I did not mention the techie bits.

I am using Keyclone, running two toons on one PC.

On a side note I am a guildie aswell so the last thing I need is to be swapping bits and bobs around every time I do a raid then swap it back when i go to Dual Boxing. Qustion: would I be better making two folders of the game one for dual boxing and one for guildie type nights, I run both toons from the same folder with no problems but that would mean my settings add ons etc would be kept seperate so as i progress into dual boxing I can ad macros etc (i think)

you can bind 2 keys to each action. I have WASD and Up, Down, left and right bound to movement.

I have WASD in the DNP (toggled by Scroll Lock for typing) this lets me control my main through WASD and both through up,down,left and right. with this scheme you could use down to drop you warlock.

incidentally Rob is looking at including a Pass only list, like a DNP list but in reverse... those key presses are not passed to the active window, only the clone(s).
