Default Almost 2yr Hiatus - MOP - Casual friendly?

Redoing this post, I fail at typing on an iPhone...

Anyway, now that I home from work... I can type everything up nicely...

Alright, for starters... This Scroll of Res. business... It seems amazing... Really does!

So, from what I can gather and read. If person A) brings back an account of mine, I then in turn res all of my other accounts. B.net Handle has 5 accounts with Cata on them. So I can res four accounts on that B.Net, and with the first account start the pyramid on my other 5 Bnet accounts which have WOTLK. They will in turn get the mounts and Cataclysm upgrades + all the 80's

So in one move, I get 10 level 80's and 5 free copies of Cataclysm? Seems too good to be true.

What I currently have is a 4DK + 1 H Pally team at 85. And nothing worthy of note elsewhere. Being able to theoretically get up to 10 more level 80's, I know I would like to have a caster team. Or something to use for PvE. What would you suggest? I see Elemental Shamans have become useless. But ouside of the DK/Pally teams, what are some strong comps?

Anyway, next point... Is it worth boxing in MOP. I know its a rather personal question, but I was burned out by Cata, phasing, lack of interest, too much consecutive WoW, whatever.... My gripes with Cata was that it just wasn't a good fit for me.

How is MOP for more casual players? I don't think I am ready to invest myself 100% into WoW again. My life has a lot more going on than it did 2 years ago. I didnt mind TBC for casually playing rewards and upgrades were good enough to compete, but not ground breaking and the over all time invested to reward ratio seemed balanced. Cata, seemed to lack a lot. (Dunno at the same time, it feels like I am an old man griping about the good 'ole days.)

I guess I cam just trying to get an overall feel for the game again. Are you happy you came back? Or have you left? If so, what were the causes?

As the years go by, Blizzard is only making the game easier for players to just wander through baseline content (up to and including some non-heroic raids, especially since the introduction of LFR).

I don't exactly understand your second question about the SoR. It seems like you've missed a word or two in there?

I think what I plan on doing with a single team is leaving them at 84, and turning XP-Off in order to just PvP.

As far as composition, I am thinking I would like to try out a hunter team. And using a Holy Pally as the healer, while using the other two in order to cap them at 84 and run them as a two's team. Grab another Warrior and a healer. Any suggestions?

    My current characters account wide:C
    Class - Level (Toon #)

    Paladin - 85, 60
    Deathknight - 85 (4)
    Warlock - 64, 60
    Shaman - 66, 63 (2)

Looking at gifting 10 toons and then transferring them all.

I have my PvP Team which will remain the 4DK/Pally team.

Going to get a second PvE Team and thinking of:
Death Knight or Warrior Tank (Pro's and Cons)?
    Resto Shaman
    Warlock
    Mage
    Mage

PvP Team at 84: Partially twinking

3s Team for BG's (Easier to manage, and less aggro from the public)
    Hunter
    Hunter
    H. Pally

2s Team for giggles and world PvP
    Druid
Druid (Both Feral) something I haven't used, maybe dual spec one for a healer. Haven't thought that far yet...

    What do you all think?

I could be wrong, but if you turn of XP you will only be queued for BGs with others that have also turned off XP. I don't know how many there are at level 84, but I doubt there are many.

This, not to mention you deprive yourself of new content.

It would be everyone in the 80-84 range, who had XP gains disabled.
Not sure if that includes people who have not purchased Cataclysm and beyond (or not).
    EverQuest I: Bard / Enchanter / Druid / Wizard / 2x Magician.
