While I am Brand new, I have been using a lower end Vizio 32" for several years. It is the best I have ever had, even better than my 50". Very inexpensive and never a problem.

Either you have a very big keyboard, or my lounge room TV is way bigger than I thought.

I use a 70" 3d TV (never used the 3d part... what a waste). However, I sit on my couch about 6 feet away and use wireless keyboard (on my lap) and mouse (use the couch cushion)

We are seeing the launch of Ultra Definition TV now. 10 boxing + TV channels should be possible on a ridiculously big screen with good sharpness of your beloved space goat or BE. Neck problem is a concern though, and don't ask me about price and graphic card.

Let's hope the Japanese TV manufacturers survive the current economy turmoil. LG and Samsung produce good TV, but the more the merrier.

I use the 3D for some first person shooters and star wars games haha. The light sabers look so awesome in 3D. I have yet to watch a movie in 3D though! haha i need to get a movie in 3D just so i can use the feature more

I like a good WOW! factor when people see my computer station. Its not if you're a nerd or not, its if people think you are thats important.

Tried my 32" Samsung TV as a monitor for boxing, wow looked really great, and a 'big' screen does aid with the immersion, but for some reason I got a really bad headache after a while. So I'm sticking to my trusty 24" dell monitor.

I was going to advice against using a TV as monitor at all, but apparently some people don't have issues with it. Keep in mind that a full HD tv will have quite a low number of pixels per inch, and might look really bad close up.

I'm using an el-cheapo Vizio 36" 1080P TV I "borrowed" from a friend who bought 2 from Tiger Direct and never bothered to set them up. From 2 feet away it looks just as good (maybe slightly less crisp color) as my $400 24" 3d enabled Acer monitor that's sitting next to it. Only problem with it is it takes up so much desk space, but at 2-3 feet, 36" puts the edges of the screen right at about the limit of my peripheral vision so I think that's about the right size (for me) for use at a desk.
