    Default Input Director and WoW

Hey all, trying to figure out why this happens. It's not consistent so I'm not even sure how to troubleshoot it. Basically Input Director works very well, except every once in a while when I swap monitors (so going to the other computer in a 2 computer setup) it enables auto run on the computer screen that I left. So my main (or which ever character I had in the main scree) will run off while I'm on other monitor. Also I see that one of my control maps will turn on and off as I move back and forth between screens. They don't always happen together though. I can have the run problem without the keymaps toggling and vice versa. Any ideas?

edit: forgot to mention my workaround. If I put up any window over the WoW windows then when I swap to other computer my main won't run off.

think it has something to do with the num lock toggle.

Ive used Input Director for years and haven't had that problem. However I remember having that problem all the time when I used Synergy. ID does remember the num-lock state on each computer separately so if its off on one and on, on another that might be what you're running into if you are also running wow across more than one box and linked by InnerSpace or Keyclone.

This seems like the problem. I do use numlock extensively while playing as sometimes I hit numlock and walk away while the team flies across the continent. Hmm, guess I should move it to a new key.

Make sure you have the "Release modifiers when leaving client" box checked. Should fix that.

I use numlock as well and have never seen this.

I'm going to guess we are on different versions because I don't see that option. I think "Master Keyboard LEDs reflect the status of the directed slave" might be the same??

Bah. Nevermind. That was an option in something else apparently. Sorry about that.

Synergy had a numlock state option that just played havoc with trying to box across across systems. ID doesn't have any setting for num lock. But if you're on a slave toon with num lock off, pass the mouse to a new system with it on and Innerspace passes the state change, I can see toons making a run for it.

That option in ID seems to have fixed it. I didn't have any runaway slaves last night, but I only played for an hour. We will see if it's fixed for good. The website FAQ seems to indicate that it would fix the problem.
