Question Steps get stuck in isboxer

    Hello
I am completly new to multiboxing so this issue I am having at the moment might be an stupid one and easily fixed. I have it setup so when I spam the 1 button it will do 3 steps. On step one it will try to cast chaos bolt on my warlocks, second step it will try to cast conflagrate and third step it will do an macro wich does immolate and incenerate.

This is my setup as it is now : http://pastebin.com/Wm6eW5nZ

What happens is if I engange a pack of mobs and just spam number 1 key it works just fine, but if I would press another button in the fight, for example number 8 to add curses the number 1 will get stuck between step 1 and step 2. And the only solution I have found to it is that I have to change target and then change back to the original target for it to work again.

I have also tried to have only one step and click macros inside the immolate and incinerate macro but then the macro will stop working sometimes.

Oh and thanks alot for a great site filled with information that really helps newcomers like me

For step 1 and step 2 there is no macro, only the spell it self. But for step 3 I use the following macro :
    /castsequence reset=target Immolate, Incinerate,Incinerate,Incinerate,Incinerate,Incine rate

From looking at your ISBoxer configuration the only issue with it is that you have the DPS 1 Mapped Key set to Execute a Step when the Hotkey is pressed OR released. With such a 3-step Mapped Key then the activation will be: 1st Press (Step 1), 1st Release (Step 2), 2nd Press (Step 3), 2nd Release (Step 1), 3rd Press (Step 2), 3rd Release (Step 3). That may or may not be what you were intending.

The issue you describe sounds more like a problem with your actual macros. For example, the behaviour you describe is what I would expect from a stuck macro that also had reset=target. I'd suggest posting the macros you are using.

After testing different things I have come to the conclussion that it is the Chaos bolt on step 2 that hangs everything up. If I remove Chaos bolt completly then it runs smoothly threw all steps. But if I add Chaos bolt back in and replace the macro on button 1 with just an ordinare spell nothing hangs either.

For me this is a conandrum that I see no fix to, anyone have an idea?

Like Alge said, it sounds like your macros and we can't really troubleshoot unless you post those macros. You're talking about replacing macros with just plain spells. We need to see those macros because from the way you describe it, it should simply be /cast whatever, but from the problems you're having, it's castsequences that are locking up somewhere - probably centered around Chaos Bolt because Chaos Bolt has a resource requirement.

It's my understanding that ISBoxer doesn't wait around for steps? IE, Press = try to cast step 1, release = try to cast step 2, press try to cast step 3 etc. If that's the case, then it shouldn't get "stuck" and prevent the rest of the steps from processing, it should simply ignore what it can't do and come back to it next time around.

I wholeheartedly concur with Khatovar's assessment and recommendations.

Well, I've got nothing with the macros if they are as you say they are. And the only reason I can think of for ISBoxer to get "stuck between steps" is if you have that whole "do not advance for X" set up - but since I don't use ISBoxer I can't troubleshoot that. At this point, I'd probably suggest rebuilding the key and building the Macros in ISBoxer instead of the game. Beyond that, I'm useless here.

Thanks for all your help and your insight into this. I have scratch the macro on step two. I replaced it with incinerate instead and are now casting immolate on a complete seperate button. By doing that there have been no lockups before. So it was like you said not isboxer but the macro that caused it all.

I know there are some bugs with the warlock macros. I had a lot of trouble getting something that would not lock up. I had to end up doing lots of stuff manually.

One interesting thing that ebony found was that shadowbolt being used in a macro will actual cast incinerate. Weird stuff.
