I agree that Darkmoon cards are the big thing right now. On Magtheridon it's a cake walk to get someone to provide 1k gold plus mats for you to make them a card (it requires a once-a-day item from transcription). If you've got 5 or 10 guys going... Yeah.

On the other hand, the Alchemy market is trash. Living Steel is almost down to the price of the mats.
