The wizard generates an IWT key.
This enables CTM, sends your IWT keybind and then disables CTM.
One press, but two states... Press and Release, with a Step on each of those.

When you push the key on its own, this works fine.



However, when you call your IWT (on one step) of another mapped key, it can fail.
Because the wizard IWT needs two steps, and the other mapped key is trying to do IWT on the one step.

You could insert CTM On, in the mapped key.
Or edit the wizard generated key, in such a way that it never disables CTM.

Or go with your own CTM/IWT approach.
