5 man PVE MoP Comps

Tried searching and reading through General and Group Comp subforums but haven't been able to find this yet. If there's already a good post somewhere I'd be grateful for a link.

What 5 man compositions are working out best for PVE at 90? My most enjoyable time in boxing has been WoTLK, when I could easily run heroics w/ my Pally/Shaman combo. Not really into PVP so that doesn't factor in.

I'm very concerned with the talent changes in Shaman, and have seen a few posts saying shaman (ele) aren't working well for boxing atm. Is anybody running the Tank + 4 Shaman (any combination of ele/resto) and having good success?

If tank/4shaman isn't the best comp any more, what seems to be? I've seen some good posts about which tank to choose, but just am not sure what works out best in supporting the tank. I definitely prefer to play ranged dps over melee.

Sorry if this is already detailed somewhere here, but I'm just not finding it.

I am doing fine with pali, 3x ele 1 restro shaman.

I think most of the posts putting down shaman was about PvP, where hunters and warriors are on top at the moment.

Ive been running a paladin 1 resto shaman 3 elemental shaman for heroics. So far they have cleared all but rising sun last boss, shado pan last boss and i forget the name of the third, second last insect boss. The rest however have been very easy to box with this composition, some bosses i will run with 4 elemental shaman. ilevel on them all is 460 now.

Pvp i run 5 elemental shaman and they are pretty bad for me right now, but Pve they are a strong group.
They are extremely strong when in ascendance, i blow everything on a boss, couple have died by the time its over.

I think almost any group comp will work for mop heroics they are very easy. In cata you had to seriously over gear to be able to have any chance in heroics, now you can do most mop in just quest rewards.

Elemental shamans are extremely good for heroic dungeons this patch, for the simple reason that ascendance will be up for each boss. The best tank for an ele shaman in terms of dps contribution is a warrior because of skull banner. It adds 20% dmg to all critical strikes in your party for 10s (i.e. if you do 400k dps with your ele group during ascendance, with skull banner up that will actually be 480k, or over 10s 800k extra). With the healing ability ancestral guidance, you can even run 4x ele + tank on bosses, provided your rotate it properly. On top of that you have stormlash totem, which buffs dmg raidwide, and you can round robin them to have the effect up as long as needed on bosses.

shaman are fine in pve. they're great actually
it's just pvp where they're gimp
